Mornington Peninsula Shire Council Dear Sir, Council Decision on Plan for Works at Roadside Coastal Sand Dune on Crown Land at Blairgowrie The Port Phillip Conservation Council Inc. thanks Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and its officers, in particular Messrs Bradbrook and Katakouzinos, for the constructive response that was given to the objections by our organization to aspects of the above application for planning approval. We would appreciate it if you would inform those officers that we found their advice to be helpful in this matter. Our Senior Vice-President, Mr Len Warfe, addressed yesterday’s Council meeting, and has advised me that the decision taken by the Council was in accord with the responsibly modified plans that were finally put before the Council for its approval. The positive measures regarding retention of indigenous vegetation, supervision by an arborist, the reduction in the scale of the retaining wall, and the use of timber instead of ‘textured’ concrete were indeed welcomed by PPCC Inc., and appear to have satisfactorily concluded this matter for the present time. We shall post this letter on our Web site above, www.vicnet.net.au/~phillip Yours sincerely,
Geoffrey Goode
