The Crown foreshore reserve is the land between the coast and the steep bank parallel to it. That bank is the Curlewis geological fault line. It follows the northern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula. That reserve, marked PUBLIC CONSERVATION & RESOURCE ZONE on the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme, has been fenced off from the public, has walled banks of exotic plantings created by earthworks, and has on it a gazebo, a light pole and two private jetties.
