Green Point and the Cenotaph:  Strong public opposition to siting a commercial restaurant or 'Teahouse'  here, which would be visually obtrusive and reduce public open space, has fortunately caused that proposal to lapse. To the left is the Dr Jim Willis Reserve, a dunes area, with important indigenous vegetation.

The vegetated right corner close to the sea  has since had a completely unnecessary $20,000 masonry "Viewing Platform" placed on it, with large metal plaques commemorating those that promoted the structure.  BRIGHTON
