Balcombe Creek, above, is one of what were the two
largest creeks on the Mornington Peninsula's Port
Phillip coast, until Tassell's
Creek was turned into a marina in 2007.
Balcombe Creek and its vegetated environs have fared
better. Unlike Tassel's Creek to the south, it has
neither lost its nearby open space, nor
been turned into a conduit for boats.
